Maintenance Manual
MODEL : 1PS/1PF/1PT

Operation and Maintenance Instructions :

Polyhydron make Pressure Switch are reliable hence require very little attention from user. However it is necessary that following points must be kept in mind while storage, operation, commissioning and maintenance.

Storage :

The Pressure Switch needs to be well lubricated to prevent the piston from getting stuck up in body due to possible corrosion. It should be properly covered to protect from dust/dirt.

Operation :

Nonadjustable pressure differential type pressure switch is used to convert hydraulic pressure in to electrical signal. When the pressurised oil moves the piston against the spring which is preloaded. Hence the piston moves away from the sub miniature (micro switch) which is in normally closed position, changes to normally open position. So the electrical signal is given to solenoid.

Commissioning :

The things that should be attended to during commissioning are as follows:

The P port is to be connected to pressure line.

Micro switch is normally in closed position. When the pressure builds in the line it will be normally open position. Taking these points into consideration make the electric connections.

Cap screws and the corresponding tightening torque should be as mentioned in the data sheet.

Maintenance :

To enhance the proper working of the valve it is necessary to attain the following points. :

The oil must be of prime quality and clean as per ISO code 16/13.

Contaminated oil may lead to the damage of seal which causes for leakage in the switch.

The oil temperature must be within the specified range i.e. -20 °C to +70 °C.

The current rating should be within the range.
